MN350 Events

1)  Sunday, February 9: Minnesota Divestment Convergence from 1-5:30pm at Mayflower Church, 106 E Diamond Lake Rd, Minneapolis, MN 55419.   MN350 and MNIPL will be hosting the very first Minnesota Divestment Convergence!  This convergence is meant for folks working on on and off-campus campaigns and will accomplish 3 goals:

1. Provide a networking and introduction opportunity for those working on divestment campaigns across Minnesota.
2. Begin a conversation about a shared media strategy and a statewide narrative of the divestment movement.
3. Explain how MN350 can be a resource for your campaign; what we can offer in terms of support.

2)  Monday, February 10:  MN350 Tar Sands Introduction Meeting from 6:30-7:45pm at the St. Anthony Park Library, 2245 Como Ave, St. Paul, MN 55108.  You are concerned about climate change and you want solutions, but may not know where to begin. MN350 is part of a growing movement to address climate change and radical fossil fuel extraction. Come learn what MN350 is doing to raise awareness of these critical issues how you can get involved in this local and global movement. (This is the first of two related St. Paul meetings — you’re encouraged to come to both but are welcome at either.)

3)  Thursday, February 20:  MN350 Tar Sands Team Meeting from 6:30-8:30pm at MN350 Office, 2104 Stevens Ave S, Minneapolis 55408.  Gather with MN350′s Tar Sands Team to get connected, plan and join in building the movement to work for a livable future by resisting the expansion of carbon-intensive tar sands crude.  We have an incredible local opportunity to fight the Alberta Clipper Expansion project through northern MN and to continue to oppose the Keystone XL pipeline.  Contact andy@MN350.org for more info. This meeting takes place every two weeks, same time, same place.
