Join MN350 at hearings to stop Sandpiper!

Canadian pipeline giant Enbridge plans to build a new pipeline across northern Minnesota to carry fracked crude oil. The Sandpiper project is a bad idea — bad for the climate, bad for our waters, and bad for treaty rights — and we need to make ourselves heard. This pipeline would establish an entirely new crude oil corridor across Minnesota, and Enbridge has already announced plans to put two more pipelines in this new corridor. The […]

Whether additional tar sands dilbit (from 570,000 up to 800,000 barrels per day) will flow on the Alberta Clipper has now moved to the Federal level. In anticipation of this decision, the MN350 Tar Sands team had prepared a powerful but […]

Keeping the momentum beyond Judge Lipman’s recommendation on Alberta Clipper tar sands pipeline

Following business as usual, Administration Law Judge Lipman handling the contested case hearing for the Alberta Clipper process issued his official recommendation on Thursday, June 12, 2014 in favor of building the expansion. We were expecting this, but it’s still unfortunate. He dismissed concerns about climate change (as expressed in thousands of your comments) and did not address the threat of spills into lakes and streams. As one of the members of our leadership team […]
