1. Do you support divesting the $3 million dollars the Minnesota State Pension has invested in Fossil Fuel Corporations?

Answer: Yes

2. Given that Saint Paul city employee’s income is invested in the State of Minnesota’s Pension, do you support the passage of a Saint Paul resolution asking the state to divest from Fossil Fuels? Would you vote to pass such a resolution?

Answer: Yes

3. Would you author such a resolution?

Answer: Yes

4. Do you support a Saint Paul resolution that calls on institutions within the city, such as universities, to divest from Fossil Fuels?

Answer: Yes

5. What other ways would you support action on climate change in Saint Paul?

Answer: Stop the proliferation of teardowns and demolitions in St. Paul that release CO2 and other dangerous pollutants into the atmosphere. Audit the city’s vehicle fleet to see where efficiencies may be gained in terms of age, usage, vehicle type, and purchasing habits. Only subsidize those capital projects that maximize the potential for solar, geothermal, and wind energy to operate their buildings. Stop burning trash and refuse at the Newport recovery facility and update permitting for any entities within the city of St. Paul that burn wood or other paper products to generate energy.
